And the question you are actually asking: how much is there? We do not know, and neither does anyone who tells you otherwise. What is fixed is the rule — the percentage, the 5 coins, the bonus, who holds the money and when it is released. The rest is how many people need you this week, and that is not ours to promise. That is the whole window. If nobody accepts before it runs out, Hal tells the person no one was available and carries on alone. Being there is the difference. Esa es toda la ventana. Hal has read more than any of us will. What it has never done is be wrong in your field, at two in the morning, with someone's money or someone's body on the other side of the answer.
So Hal escalates. The person can ask for a human, and Hal can offer one when the conversation looks like it needs lived experience or someone answerable. The request goes to the Hals who are available right then. Whoever accepts inherits the thread — the customer does not tell the story twice. That person is a Hal.
You are not the fallback. You are the reason the system is allowed to be confident everywhere else. And the principle runs all the way to the top: what Hal may change about itself is put to a vote of Hals. Neither the machine nor a single admin can rewrite Hal's character.

Pending requests are visible to every Hal who is available. Your view is ordered by your rating, interests you share with the person, how close you are and how long they have waited — but that is a suggestion. Several Hals see the same request until one accepts it or it expires. Los pedidos pendientes los ven todos los Hals disponibles. Very little, on purpose: when the request came in, a name or just “a customer”, and a small amount of matching context — a couple of interests, a location. You do not get the conversation and you do not get their memory. Nothing is copied to you until you say yes. When you accept, the thread is copied over and the AI session closes. No portal, no macros, no script: the person keeps writing where they always were, and now you are the one answering. An escalation has no booked duration. It runs until the session is closed. Afterwards the person rates you from one to five stars, and that rating is what settles the session — there is no handle time and no supervisor counting your minutes. The two roles above are the work. This is not work: the same account that answers a stranger at two in the morning also opens the most advanced tools in the building. Those are not earned by attending and not lost by not attending. The vote is the other half, and it does not work like that — the council is weighted, and what weighs it is on the right. - And a third way the money moves: HITs — tasks somebody posted and funded. Posting holds the coins, approving your delivery pays you from what was held, rejecting requires a written reason, and closing the task returns whatever is left. When your account opens, HAL tells you in the chat that you have an appointment with Daisy, and leaves her card right there: open the session with her, or answer the questions directly. Daisy is an AI, she says so, and she is the one who runs your onboarding. She is also the only part of Hal that never closes: later on she becomes your desk assistant. Until you answer, the appointment is waiting every time you open the chat. Not a knowledge test — there is nothing to revise. Ten statements, answered 1 to 5, each worth ten of the hundred points, in five blocks: empathy, curiosity, stability, authenticity, adaptability. Things like "you can sit with someone's discomfort without needing to fix it quickly". It takes minutes. No es un examen de conocimiento: no hay nada que repasar. One hundred points: empathy is worth 30, curiosity 25, stability 20, authenticity 15, adaptability 10. 85 or more approves. 70 sends it to a person. 55 approves it with conditions. Below that is a no. And four answers stop the score mattering at all — if you help in order to be validated, if you cannot take being treated badly, if you need to fix people, or if you are someone else when nobody is watching, a person reads it whatever the total says. Being a Hal and being listed are two different things. Turn availability on and escalations start reaching you; that is enough, and plenty of Hals stop there. Publishing a profile — a title, your categories, your rate — is what lets people choose you by name. Ser un Hal y estar listado son dos cosas distintas. And both ways in start the same, which is worth knowing before you get there. Whether the score approves you or a person does, you begin with a thirty-day trial — and during that trial an escalation is free for both sides, so it pays you nothing. Direct bookings pay from the first day. After thirty days you become active on your own; there is nothing to request and nothing to pass. The scoring runs on the server, never in your browser — the comment in the code says why: in the browser it would be editable. We are telling you the thresholds because knowing them should not help you. The test measures whether you would sit with someone at two in the morning, and there is no way to answer that strategically without becoming the kind of person it screens out. What does the council decide, and how do you get on it?¿Qué decide el consejo, y cómo se entra?
Roughly the top tenth of the network forms it, weighted by earnings, rating, sessions, seniority and balance — your dashboard tells you what your vote weighs, or that you are not on the council yet. It votes typed proposals with a quorum, a threshold and a clock. The type that matters most is identity: a proposal to change how Hal itself thinks is approved by an administrator and then put to the council, and only a favourable vote activates the new version. Neither the machine nor a single admin can rewrite Hal's character. What the council does not yet decide is anything outside Hal — that part is a bet, and we say so in the section above. The person rates the session from one to five stars, and one star means they are charged nothing and you are paid nothing for it. Either side can also file a report, which is stored for the team to review. There is no automatic refund beyond that one star, and there is no file that follows you around. Yes. This is the answer we least enjoy giving and the one you should read twice: Hal verifies and organises participation, provides the conversation, holds and settles the coins and records ratings. It does not carry insurance for you and it does not stand behind your advice. A profile, a badge or a rating is not a substitute for the licence your field requires, and regulated advice remains regulated here. Sí. Partly, and we would rather say so. There is a ten-question assessment whose score and decision are stored, and an approved decision can promote an application on its own. There is also a path where an administrator approves it by hand, and a person reviews every score between 70 and 84 — and every sheet answered all fives, because a perfect self-assessment is exactly the one a machine cannot trust. Both paths end in the same place: the same account, the same email, the same first tour of the dashboard. En parte, y preferimos decirlo. No. A listing is a sign on the door; availability is whether anybody is behind it. You can take escalations and never appear anywhere, or unpublish and still be a Hal.
